Default Need help looking for a board that will run Crossfire at dual 16x mode

Well as the thread sugests I am looking for a board that will run Crossfire at dual 16x mode. I cruently have a P5Q-E but it only runs at 8X mode.

For the socket 775 I assumed, but why would you want a board with dual 16x since it's expensive and doesn't affect the performance that much. With that said, you want a X48 board.

So the performance gain would not be that much then to justify getting an X48 board like the Rampage Formula for example?

Your current board may only be running each card at PCI-E x8, but it using the PCI-E 2.0 spec, which gives twice the speeds of the older PCI-E. So in a sense, you've still got the equivalent of x16 on an older board. Performance gains from going to a x48 chipset would be very minimal.

Unless you are crossfire two 4870X2, the 8x/8x should be enough
