Yes the price drops will affect canada.

Personally, I use NCIX and memory express.

The only decent US company I know of that ships to Canada is monarch but you get nailed an arm and a leg in customs.

AFAIK monarch folded up shop quite a while ago. They are no longer.

Don't you like Canada computers or Direct canada? they are cheaper than NCIX most of the time...

I'll try memory express. thanks...by the way, what RAM do you recommend? DDR2? DDR3 seem too expensive right now...The thing is that I'm planning on building a machine in oct/nov 07. I might go for 1333Mhz FSB machine, what RAM should I get? 1066, or wait for DDR3 prices to drop (if it happens)?

It depends man, DDR3 prices and performance will probably be much better by then but we dunno for sure.

Wow I didnt hear about Monarch, I bought probably 20 CPUs from there back in the A64 hay day.

Ive never ordered from Canada computers or Direct canada, so I have no experience there. However, ncix has always treated me well so I like them and mem express is down the street from me so I dont have to pay shipping. TBH I get most of my hardware through connections in the US, not thru Canadian retail. I will be picking up a new CPU or 2 after the price drops for sure tho!
