True but only certain batches are unlockable, X3 720: batch 0849CPMW(49th week of 2008), X3 710: batch 0906mpmw(6th week of 2009), and only certain motherboards will have the BIOS to allow for the unlock, and that X3 710 bundle at NCIX is not one of them. If you try to unlock one that is not in those batches you will most certainly have errors and instability.
