Default Does core2duo come w/ thermal paste

Sorry stupid question, but does the e4300 include paste/hs/hsf? Is the paste good or should I get my self some better stuff?

Also, is the stock cooler any good?

The stock cooler (in the retail box) has a Thermal Interface Material (TIM) which serves the same purpose as thermal paste. ITs not generally as good as AS5, but ask around. I don't know much about Intels.

My System Specs

The stock cooler is quite good relative to other stock coolers we've seen in the past.

I'm currently running an e6600 @ 3200+ with acceptable (sub 60c full load) temps.

Man I find the stock cooler really sucked, but maybe all my chips just ran hotter, who knows. I was getting over 70C orthos at 1.45v with stock cooler, but dropped 25C load going to H20.

Yes. Stock Core 2 Duo's coolers sucks big time. And the Thermal Paste isn't that good either. Get yourself some AS5 instead.
