Sorry to act a little n00bish there.

I'm already late for ordering the stuff I was supposed due to some money problems. My budget went down a little maybe I should wait a little more, for the price drops and then get a E6420, I guess It's gonna be hard a little get the extra cash for the E6600.

I'm also thinking to get the OCZ GameXstream 600watt instead of the Corsair 620watt. But I think that making that decision is a bit hard for myself as I really want the Corsair but then again, MONEY IS TIGHT TIGHT NOW. S after the problem, is that a good decision?
definitely noobish about the motherboard. there's nothing to what you're saying.

the cpu is a better buy so go with it. the e6420 i mean.

the psu i don't know. the 700w ocz is solid but haven't heard anything about the 600w.

My System Specs

Default

The 600W has plenty of juice to power my 1950pro and they're notorious power hogs.

If there are no thoughts now on going SLI in the future you should do fine with one.

As far as single Nvidia cards on crossfire rigs go.... not a problem at all.

It's certainly not a "noob" question as it always pays to verify before you build and somewhere down the line we're probably going to see chipsets that are tweaked for a certain brand of vid card (ati + amd.... ), but for current tech all your card will see is a single X16 PCIe slot. It won't care about chipsets or brands.

I have a gamestream 600 that i got as an rma replace for a 420 powersteam.
I wouldn't say i have done rigorous testing but it ran my oc'ed quads fine with minimal video and drives for a month or so 724.
I moved it to my son's rig 1.5 weeks ago where it is driving a p5wdh with a mildly oc'ed 6400 @3.0, an AIW x1900, 3 seagate sata drives (raid5) and 2 dvd rw's. So far so good.

It also has better/longer cables than the 520 powerstream it replaced including 6 sata drive connectors which was nice for a clean setup in his p180 antec case. The only 'issue' with it in the p180 case is that i had to install it upside down to let the fan inlet work but this would not be an issue in a case with top mounting psu. Running it upside down should not be a problem anyway.
