Does this gaming rig require one videocard or two?

ADD-on soundcard?

SLi/Crossfire?

Well, the aforementioned UD5P is high on my list, and the MSI GD70 looks very promising as well, but I've yet to see it(the MSI) hit retail here in Canada. The MSI looks good in what I've seen floating around, and generally MSI is a fair bit more affordable than other OEMs.

Next up we can ask, DDR2/DDR3...becuase that also influences the choice, but quite obviously, DDR2 isn't something that still registers with me...it's old tech now, given that you can now get 4GB(even 6GB!!) of DDR3 for $100 or less, but of course, what you buy is ultimately up to you.

I was also wondering how to mount these ssd's into an antec 1200 : Newegg.ca - Patriot Warp PE32GS25SSDR 2.5" 32GB SATA II Internal Solid state disk (SSD) - Solid State Disks

and btw I will be using ddr3 (4gb patriot extreme)

You'll need mounts for the SSd's, as tehy are 2.5 inch. Your choice whether you want to convert to 3.5-inch(dunno how many 3.5-inch device the 1200 supports), or to 5.25-inch(there are a few that allow 4x 2.5 device into 2x 5.25 slots or less).

If you were going with ddr2 I would have said to go with the DFI offerings...

They will be coming out with an AM3 version, the only question is when... I, for one, would wait.

You could go with the asus m4a79-t. I personally have the m3a version which is essentially the exact same board with an am2+ socket and ddr2 slots vs an am3 socket and ddr3 slots. Its probably one of the best boards out there for an am2+ based system, so i dont see any reason the m4a would be any different.

Have a GIGABYTE-GA-MA790FXT-UD5P Motherboard and an Asus M4A79T Deluxe. From my research I think the MSI 790FX-GD70 (which M.B is better::Asus m4a-79-t Deluxe OR MSI 790FX-GD70) is probably best!
