I had 100x more luck and better overclocking with my Tpower board.
So you had problems with a DFI board once?

Initial impressions leave a lot with most people.

Hence why I hate nvidia and dfi now :)

the DFI board that you mention, most people have trouble holding it at 400 + FSB

I was about to pick up that board, since a lot of people say craps like ohh DFI is the shitz. So i decide to do some googling and found out that most people have trouble keeping the DFI P45 T2RS at 400 FSB +

I just order a biostar T power I45 last night after seeing people having 700 FSB +. and also got an T45HP from a fellow forum member They both should be here the end of the week Now just need the PSU, RAM and case

Exactly I was lucky to finally get 410 fsb and get it stable but anything above that and it just shits the bed.

My Tpower I could easily do 450 no problems.

And remember that 700fbs on the Tpower is done by using a 6x multi and LN2 :P

Now back to topic!

If you google "DFI P45 FSB wall," you will notice people on forums having trouble keep those DFI p45 ATX boards at 400FSB

Its a different story if you chage DFI --> Asus, gigabyte, or T 45 series

As for nvidia chipset, it seems people are needing a lot of volts to overclock there CPU due to the huge Vdrops. <-- dont know what they mean but i know its a problem when people start doing penceil mods for nvidia chipsets

I too was gonna grab a nvidia chipset but change my mine at last minute I perfer overclockablitiy as to having SLI and BSOD for mild OC

and true facts, single gtx 285 > gtx 260 sli in terms of service and maintaince.
i am not one to talk about SLI since i am still a big fan of the red side

Oh i just notice in your first post that you said your maximus died

WHAT HAPPEN!
