other option?

the 80$ more for ud4p over the ud3r is a good investissement?

Thanks

From our charts:

Phenom II X4 955 BE vs Phenom II X4 955 OC vs Core 2 Quad Q9550 vs Core i7 920 vs Core i7 940

For 1/2 the price of an i7 940, the X4 955 is not bad at all .

How come there was no i7 overclocking?

The overclocking is up for a short period of time and will be pulled

You will be made clear soon

All I want to say is, that i go to school with someone that has a 920 and I have a q9550. We have similar hardware otherwise and he beats me in almost everything by a good 40-50% :(

I went from a q6600@3ghz to a i7@3870 and the fps in games jumped up alot using a 4870 at 1920x1200 resolution. Then i tested that same i7 against a x3 720be@3420 and the fps difference was negligible. So after owning the i7 for 3 days i sold it to a buddy of mine who does 3dsmax work. Just wasn't worth the price premium for me.I'd go with the c2quad if money is tight.
