Kinda hard to do from a distance, but have you had a look to see if you could find the national entity which authorizes/monitors contests in France? What about the fraud division of their national police force?

That seriously stinks. IMO, they may be out of 965 chips due to them releasing another high-end chip soon. If that is the case, make sure that you mention that you will wait for one of THOSE.

The x58SO's are terrible boards either way
Only 4 DIMM slots, severe lack of expansion ports, terrible layout, especially for SATA ports w/ longer video cards.

You would be much better off trying to get something else - Maybe an SSD or two? Or the two other CPU options?

If they do give you a few extra i7 920's..... you know where to find me :D

Thats bull, I'd keep pushing them, get that 965, and if not push them to give you the next model up, the 975.

If that fails get them to send you one of their SSD's or 2.

It just takes so damn long for the guy at Intel France to reply to his emails. Maybe if they didn't take 2 hour lunches they might have more time
