Someone on RFD said they won a Far Cry 2 game from this contest and then got a bill from UPS for $32

I got a reply from Intel France and they say they are out of 965's They're giving me the following options:
A: keep the 920 and they'll send me a motherboard and some OEM games.
B: wait for the 965 for which they cannot say when that will be.

I replied with some other options:
C: send me two more 920's.
D: Send me a DX58SO motherboard and another 920.

I'll see what they have to say about that. I have the distinct impression that if I and other winners had not mentioned we had received the wrong prize that they would not have said a word.

How the Hell can Intel France be out of 965s???? Sounds pretty fishy to me.

I can see you're responding with options which would be closer to the monetary value of the original chip.... hopefully they'll respond in kind. (How about a Xenon platform chip/mobo??? :) ).

I agree with sswilsons post. Seems fishy that Intel would be out of those chips. I think you will find out how serious they are about fulfilling their promise with the suggestions you made...

I contacted Intel USA and expressed my concern at how their offices in France were handling this contest. The reply I got basically said that since Intel France was in charge of giving out prizes that there was nothing the USA office could do.
