Default X3 720BE > X4 :) The Results Thread :)

Alright,
Well the other thread was cluttered with the problems i was having with AMD overdrive. I found a way to monitor my temps and other info. Through the motherboard software. Although i think those cpu temps are a bit off (around 10C off) but thats fine atleast i get an idea of where its at. At stock my cpu was stable for a full 2 hrs with the 4th core unlocked. Right now i just overclocked it to 3.37ghz, currently stress testing, its been 10minutes now and its fine. But well see. That is also with the 4th core unlocked. Screenshots soon :)

Good for you. I am thinking of getting a 720BE and a Biostar 790GX setup and see if it will unlock for me.

I got it to 3.5ghz stable for 30 min. just by sliding multi, and bumping voltage + 0.25. Wont have time to play around with it more until this weekend. Probably wont be able to put my componenets in the raven until then either :(. But ill have tons of updates then. Ill update this thread as i get more done

I got mine to 3.7 in the first couple hours of getting it home, and its been there since. 1.4V, temps are crazy low, never breaking 30C under prime95. This is one madly good cpu. I pricematched it at NCIX for $173, took some convincing but they matched newegg.ca's price in the end.

Cheapest good upgrade ever! Its a huge step up from a 9850BE. I gained some 10-15fps in the games I play. I coudln't be happier for AMD's success and performance.

Ya, even at stock with 3-cores enabled. it feels alot quicker then my e8400. And with the 4th core unlocked at 3.5ghz its wayyy faster

i have to keep pushing it though just no time till the weekend :(
