Default Black Edition Quad-core AM3?

I'm sure by now everyone knows that the AM3 Phenom II's have started their launch with the 710, 720BE, and 810 models....
NCIX:
NCIX.com - Buy Processors (CPUs) In Canada.

But why has AMD neglected to release a Black Edition Quad Core??? I find this to be a serious oversight on their part, considering the "enthusiasts" like myself who want to try out their new platform to its limits will be looking for one... Also, on every roadmap I've seen thus far the 910 and the 925 are also listed (although I'm not sure if either of those is black edition or not) but they don't seem to have been release yet. Why? I'm kind of down about all this... was hoping to skip my system up to AM3 and OC it once I have the money. Any thoughts?

I think they moved the 945 BE into Q3/2009, that would be around april, maybe even end of march.
If you really want to buy one now, you could take the X3 720 BE into consideration (here is a review: AMD Phenom II X4 810 and X3 720BE review (AM3)). That thing overclocks just as well as the 940 BE. It's basically a 940 BE AM3 chip with 1 core disabled.

Looks like it may be my only option for easy overclocking, unless I take a 810/910 AM3 and try to overclock the HTT.... Ideas anyone?

Since when is Q3 in april/march? Would q3 not be june/july at the earliest?

I dont know who mentioned Q3, but the wiki page for upcoming Phenoms says Q2:
List of future AMD Phenom microprocessors - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia\
945/950 due out in Q2... But where the are the black editions? Why would AMD not want to make a product for the early adopting enthusiast like myself...? lol

Do you have anything to back up your claims about an AM3 945 BE in Q2?

I'll continue picking up Phenom II X4 940 BE + Gigabyte GA-MA78G-DS3HP combos from Newegg.ca for $350 for the time being.
