I guess they got enough complaints about the first one. I guess the only thing we can hope for those that the V2 will be slightly cheaper.

Heh.... am I missing something here?

Other than the lack of "SAS Onboard", I'm not seeing any difference...... :)

Is there any kind of "official" reference as to what they changed between the versions?

Acutally no SS they didn't release anything it was a rather quiet introduction.

You're both right the P6T Deluxe V2 is identical to V1 no fixes, no improvements just the SAS controller removed.

I saw that on Asus' site the other night when I was thinking of an i7 setup...a few vendors I buy from did not seem to have a v2 listed. I bet they probably fixed a few other small issues as well. Good to see this platform mature a little.

That's not necessarily a bad thing. They often do some "behind the scenes" fixes that are transparent to end users. Do not however mix the two bios updates, that's one of the easiest ways to turn a motherboard into a brick. :)

Did the first one have some annoying problems/issues then?

Only issue that I've had with mine is my voltage sensors don't work right... but it seems that very little people have this problem (googled and only 1 other I found).. So I guess I'm lucky.

Oh... and RAID drivers don't work with XP 32 or 64 bit, hopefully that will get fixed soon... Or maybe I just really suck.. lol

I'm pretty sure that SAS controller didn't work properly anyways.
