Went from a q6600/p35 to i7/xs8. I have xp,win7 and win7 x64 on this raid 0 setup. I recognized my raid setup and I have had no problems with any os.

i think the only real issue may be going from amd to intel or something, not sure if its true but apparently windows installs a different kernel for amd than it does for intel

One time removed a bunch of stuff from device manager that I knew wouldn't exist from the new sys then I plopped in the new mb cd into the optical dr before I shutdown
I did manage to get it running but it was buggy till I made a complete os redo.
I can't remember about the details now.

They are the same chipset, near identical boards, why even switch?

i dont like asus very much... i believe ep45-ud3p will be much better and reliable than my shitty p5q deluxe...

Really? I don't think the P5Q Deluxe is shitty at all, in fact I think its a great motherboard. Any reliability/stability issues your having, chances are, aren't originating from your motherboard. Ram/Video Card/weak PSU or a high overclock are usually the culprits.

Oh well, each to his own.
