Default remounting heat-pipe assembly question

I just got an Asus Maximus II Formula and want to remount the heat-pipe assembly but I have one question. Should I use thermal tape to attach the mosfet part of the heat-pipe to the mosfets? I was thinking of just using AC MX-2 grease but I'm not sure if I'll get sufficient contact. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd use thermal tape, since you'll get more consistent contact. Assuming you could make proper contact on all the chips, the grease would do a better job, but the power circuits on that board are pretty robust, and they're not going to mind an extra degree or two.
