Any motherboard with the SB750 south bridge.

I have a Biostar TA790GX A2+ and it works great.

I'll be selling it soon as well.

the only biostar board that i've buy is sitting dead right beside me at the moment and it died 1 month be4 the 1 year warranty end ... but Biostar shitty service is asking us 45 US$ to proceed a RMA....

so i swap it for a nice Gigabyte 780G atx board with cross fire support and SB700 .... its was on sale @ 99$ on DC...

The Phenoms right now are not that great to begin with so you will not see the full potential of the boards. Wait until the Phenom II comes out and it should be more fun to overclock. If you already have a Phenom then 780G and 790GX should be good, except the low end ECS and such.

For a good price, I'd probably take it.

I have to say the DFI 790FX-M2RS. Very good board with a crap load of settings to OC and the board is very stable.
+ it's not expensive

I own the FXB but have an old 6400 X2 awaiting new Phenom II. The DFI 790GX was rated the best Phenom overcliock I do beleive.

As a rule, DFI is always amongst the best OC boards bar none.

Default Gigabyte is not bad either

I got a Gigabyte 790FX DS5, pretty good board, and I paired that with a dual core 6000+, and runs pretty good. I don't oc right now but in the beginning when I was trying to see what can i get out of it , i took it up to 3.5 GHz, and the memory (2 GB muskin ddr2-800, 4-5-4-11), ran it almost to a 940 MHz with 5-5-5-12. Very happy with it (wanted a DFI but ended up buying this one) for now. With the latest bois update Gigabyte states that will accept also the new phenom 2/am3 processor. So waiting for that one to come out. The only draw back on all these nice boards, that will be able to get the new phenom, is the will not be able to take advantage of the ddr3 speeds, we are limited to use ddr2.

Actualy the biostar 790GX & believe it or not Jetway 790GX Ultra boards are the BEST oc'ers for low end boards, the boards go for around $120-$130 from newegg.ca

And if you can find them yes the DFI LP DK 790FX m2rs or whatever there called with the bios flash are good oc'ers for phenom II's if you have the hardware to support them. currently have my 940 @ 3.6 @ 1.40v idles around 29-32c with a scythe ninja rev b cooler with a antec tricool blue led on high speed.

I've been getting fairly decent OCs w/ the Gigabyte GA-MA78G-DS3HP w/ the new Phenom IIs ...

Upper 3 GHz on air almost every time, no stability issues, and it's like $70 when you buy it as a combo from Newegg.ca

$350 for Phenom II X4 940 BE + Gigabyte GA-MA78G-DS3HP

Newegg.ca - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

Update I now own a MA379T Deluxe from asus, by no means a budget board with 8+2 phase power, how ever it is a star. Totally turned my opinion of Asus around, so far this board is amazing. Hit 3.6Ghz on air, with only a .5v voltage upgrade, running 3.4GHz stable moving to 3.6 for a good run. Once summer comes and my apart. is cooler I intend to run 3.8Ghz.
