Foxconn Bloodrage MB @ VR-Zone

I see VR-Zone has a new (very small) preview of the x58 Bloodrage motherboard from Foxconn:

A lot of enthusiasts (myself included) have been waiting for this one to be released. It looks great, but I still wonder about good how their support and BIOS updates are going to be, based on their previous boards. I hope they get it right!

I wasn't too sure what to think of the Bloodrage but the Renny definitely looked nice; well wasn't sure what to think of the nb cooler either haha

Its a great looking board, not sure I agree with their reasons for only including 3 ram slots rather than 6, but looks like it should be a great performer regardless. Can't wait to see actual performance numbers from this board!

One thing I'll say thou, is I LOVE the red colour scheme!

Yes the red and black is just so cool looking. My current Mountain Mods case is all black and red, so this motherboard would have been perfect. Couldn't wait for it any longer though, had to go with the Asus Rampage II Extreme.

Interesting, although not too much go on yet. Love the fact that the heatsinks all have backplates. Still trying to decide between this and the R2E - I can get the latter locally for a semi-decent price+no shipping, which is a point in favour.

Sigh. It's on Newegg now, but only the American site. I emailed them, and they couldn't give me any ETA for the Canadian side of things. Not looking good.

One thing I'll say thou, is I LOVE the red colour scheme!

I think the reasoning for 3 DIMMs makes sense(less interference between traces)....also frees up a little board space. I don't see 3 DIMMs as a bad thing. You can still throw in 6GB now, and when 4GB DIMMs become commonplace and affordable...12GB should still be plenty.

I understand their reasons, I simply don't agree with them personally. I'm a self professed ram whore. I can't stand to see every hole not being filled.

I'm not looking forward to this board. The placement of the 4 PCI-E slots are too close, it sems you can only Triple SLI with single-slot cards, which there aren't very many of. I wish they put 6 RAM slots, I'd rather have 6x2GB than 3x4GB!
