Default Suggestions for New Board

Well, my Intel Board preferance while being stable is not intended for Overclocking.
So, I need myself a replacement staple for the next build I will be doing.

What I prefer is:

Duo Core, Quad Core Capable (most are just stating because of the new i7)
Crossfire Native
Form factor won't matter because the new Chassis will be the Coolermaster HAF 932.
Something proven to be stable in the Overclocking field.
Good support in BIOS.
Any help would be appriciated.

Thanks to all those who have guided me away from Intel
Although, I do like the longevity of my Previous builds.

Regards,
ST

I would go for the Gigabye GA-P45-UD3P

It's been getting great overclocks on both quads and duals. It's cheap and very good. It will also run Crossfire.

P5Q-E or P5Q Deluxe are both nice...

Or if you want to splurge I guess you could look at a Rampage Formula, they show up in the Buy/Sell forums every so often for a decent price

[edit]Theres a P5Q Deluxe in the Buy/Sell forums for 175 HUGE sale
Oh, and a P5Q-Pro w/ 2GB Mushkin Accents for 160 fs: Water-cooling and other stuff[/edit]

I seriously wish I had the money to upgrade to P45 lol. I've been stuck on my 590i nVidia chipset for the longest time...I'm waiting for a phone call from Hydro One for a New Grad position for the summer, but fortunately I haven't received the rejection letter from them yet, as some people have...

Anyway, back on topic lol. The P5Q Pro and P35-UD3P are great boards for the money. I suggest either from what I've read.

Wont have the coin till April (tax time).
This is the advantage of having each job (I work 2) paying approx 230 extra into T4 Taxes.
End of the tax year I get a big cheque that's all mine lol!

I'll do some research on these boards, and eventually make a post in New builds with my ideas!
I appriciate everyone who took the time to read/respond.

ST, if that's the case, I suggest that you perhaps get i7. There could be a mainstream chipset for the i7 by that time. I'm not sure of that, but I think there could be something. There could probably be some considerable price drops too, both in the motherboard, CPU and RAM sectors.

Ditto!!.. Also the DS3R version from Gigabyte is also pretty good.

Makes me wonder with the launch of i7 and so many people already on it, will prices on X48 boards reduce a little bit at least. Also I'm sure lots of i7 products are bound to get on back order soon with the way they are going like hot cakes, after they get enough stock is when I think they might look into price cuts!!..

Check your other thread, I made a suggestion there.

However, you still didn't answer my question. What's your budget? Generally, $140+ will get you a great overclocking board, while $100+ will get you a very good overclocking board. At least that's my opinion.
