Default Looking for an am2+ mobo

Basically since amd has pretty much been horrible for the past 2 years or so ive ignored all of their chipsets and everything and now i have no clue which ones are which lol. Im looking for an am2+ mobo that will support high wattage quads, is NOT matx, and preferably has sli support and firewire, but those arent really necessary id just like to have the upgrade option later on, if its crossfire id probably just stick in my 8600gt as a physx card lol. For price id prefer not to go too far above $200, maybe $250 and $300 mill be my absolute max. And of course anything cheaper thats good would be nice too :D

My System Specs

Wouldn't it be better to wait for AM3 and just upgrade everything in one go?

I don't think there's really any good AM2+ boards out there. I think the only one is some DFI one that has the 790FX + SB750 or something. Though no SLI support.

If you want SLI, I think there's a 750a chipset from NVIDIA but I have no idea what it's like.

Then id have to get new ram too, i just bought 4gb of 1000mhz ddr2 a few weeks ago and dont want to waste it. Like i said sli isnt really necessary it would just be nice, theres gotta be something decent since the phenom II is being released for am2+ in just over a month which is the reason i want a new mobo.

I have the DFI 790FXB and so far I am very happy with it. Right now have it maxxed out at 8GB and 1 HD4870 512. I have a 6400+ X2 right now just waiting the new black Phenom IIs.

Only downside is onboard sound, but hey it's on board. once I have all my water cooling up and new CPU I iwll replace my Auzentech Prelude 7.1 which I pulled.
