Yeah, `cause everybody who can afford it would also enjoy spending $500 on ram as well..... (can anybody even get their hands on DDR3 yet?)

Heh ddr3, do you guys realize how much ddr3 chips are from the manufacturers right now? Too expensive for any ram companies to bother with fab other than very few small r & d samples.

You'll see DDR3 from all the big boys next month, OCZ and Corsair I know for sure. All the chips (at least from Micron) are still in Sampling stages though, so it won't be until DDR3 starts to catch on that it will go into full production.

You should be seeing reviews of DDR3 boards prior to DDR3 being made publicly available though (I can't give a specific date). It should all be launched and ready for the consumer to buy mid-June though, if not a week earlier.

So.. it is more than R&D at this point, but it will still take a little while for it to catch on I'm sure.
