Although, to be fair, once all my stuff is sold, I'll only have outlayed about $90-$110 for this upgrade, which isn't bad. So she can't really kill me. I wanted a quad anyway, so I'm actually paying less for this switch than I would have to get a Penryn quad for my former setup.

Will do!

I'm not sure how fast I'll get it.

I'm going to have to use the "secondary" rig and no games for a while.

But I figure once I'm back up and running, I can make up for lost time on BOINC with the new CPU!

Which ram are you getting?

Also, I would not expect it to ship out until late next week...

I understand, and share the feeling of getting new toys, but prepare to be underwhelmed with the Core i7.

Lol, I can just picture Jack and Charlie whispering to each other while their wives are in the kitchen chatting about renovations.

Not sure about the RAM yet.

Until I decide, I might just run the OCZ 1600MHz stuff I have in dual-channel (unless someone frickin buys it!)

As to the shipping, that's about my expectation.

Well, I'm not expecting to be totally blown away. I've seen a lot of the numbers. But it's going to be fun, that's for sure!
