I am on water at 4.1 HT on, and my temperature are going to 70 C while priming but I have a GTX280 on the loop as well..... So I would say, depending on the ambient temperature, this look like good performance for air cooling.
Sold hardware again..... Currently using WHS hardware....
I want to try pushing the BCLK and leaving all the other multipliers low to see where I can max it to without frying my chip on air. I still need the mounting hardware for my EK Supreme. I think the ThermalRight or the Apogee GTZ backplates might be the way to go.
Theres no specific voltages for blck. cause It a bus speed. everything runs off a multiplier of it.
qpi/vtt and a combination of high volts for vcore, qpi ppl and cpu ppl should yield just few mhz higher bclk.
imo, stabling these core i7 are the hardest thing. I think F4k bios is best in my experience.
I got it up to 4Ghz 4core on TRUE120. But benchmark performance are not as good.
Therefore, I rather run 3.9Ghz 8core(HT) with Turbo 21X multi(all-time).
performance is very close to 4Ghz 8core. Need WC if going higher. temps and volts are high.
