| User Tirimisu over at the NCIX forum collected these five threads on which C2D batches to look for or avoid for overclocking- I think I've posted a few of them here at some point, but it's good to have them all in one place. Thanks Tirimisu. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=127379 http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1075792 http://forums.extremeoverclocking.com/showthread.php?t=244601 http://www.overclock.net/intel-cpus/181205-good-conroe-weeks.html http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=140701 a bit of a database: The Official Core 2 OverClocking Database *READ 1st Post for Instructions* - [H]ard|Forum

| thanks very much for this, i have my e6600 on its way and once I get it i'd like to know how far i can expect to push it. I'll be happy if i can get it to 3400 Last edited by ragenrok : May 2, 2007 at 09:10 AM. |

| That should be no prob, but it does seem to be becoming more of a crap shoot- four moths ago, it seemed like you were guaranteed 3.6 with an e6600, but not so much now- let us know!

| I have the same batch. L646G510. Currently only at 3.2Ghz @ 1.35vcore and 8 hours Orthos blend stable. I haven't bothered going farther because I only have the stock Intel OEM fan and the load temperatures max out at around 57-59 already. |

| Nothing worng with those results! What are you getting for aftermarket cooling?

| I came across that thread at NCIX as well - After I put in an order for a E6600. Too bad that a poor overclock isn't accepted as a vaild RMA reason. For 99% of the buyers (Dell/Gateway/... bulk box buyers) it makes no difference but the OC is a big part of the decision to buy for the other 1%. |
