Curt, your board won't POST? Because if you boot with the Driver CD I think it can reflash your BIOS. Edit: I know you can do it from the F12 Bio-Flasher, and a CD or USB Key.

How can I help you? My board's under water, so I don't really want to pull it out.

Tried cd; no go.

I think whatever error 96 is.. it corrupts the boot block.

96 or 9b? I had the 9a 9b recycling error with the 1st board, had to return it to NCIX. It seems to be a known issue. Mine would post every 3rd time. 9a error, reset, 9b error, reset, normal POST, repeat...

I do not know for sure, but from what I read in a different site if you get a error code 96 for that board its dead. Looking for that site now, if I can find it will post for you right away.

Thats what I figure.

Hence the $16 to biostar for a new chip :D
