What is the best AMD processor i can get for 250$ ???

PS: Socket is not a criteria

Well.... considering every processor in AMD's lineup is sub-$250 (save the server processors) get the best, probably a 9950BE.

How much of a performance difference would i notice over my existing amd athlon 64 x2 dualcore 3600+ ???

I just pulled the trigger and ordered one, along with a Thermalright mosfet cooler. $235 shipped from NCIX. I hope I can hit 3.4Ghz on this mobo with an Ultra-120.
