| Just wondering, because its burning up in the PC I just put it in. Under normal things its just fine (using the stock Heatsink by the way) but under ORTHOS I had the core temps at 95*C in 10 minutes. On a side note, does anyone know if AsRock is going to release a BIOS patch for the 4CoreDual SATA that will let the E7200 CPU work on it (thats the 2.53ghz Wolfdale-3m one thats based of 45nm technology but has a 1066fsb) because I just got one of those but I think I will just get a new board. |

| Celerons do tend to run hot, as they are 90nm and all, however no matter the CPU, 95C is way too much, I would get a new cooler, or some better thermal glue at least. I searched up your wanted BIOS on google, no hint as to any BIOS like that being released. I'd just get a different board XD |

| The Celeron Dual Core aka E1200 is 65nm, not 90. ![]() See? Anyway, next time you have the HSF off get a razor blade and with the CPU clean hold the edge of the blade against the top of the IHS and shine a flashlight at it from the side opposed to the one you are looking at. Tehe: ![]() To be fair though, the temp of the room it was in was like 10C or something If I recall. Gonna have to keep my eye on this thing over the summer.

| yeah the funny thing is though, I guess I never put it under load but doing most things, even when you had it cranking doing games and stuff it would only go up to about 60-70 at the cores. I pulled the whole board and got a nice new ASRock 4Core1600WIFI board, the one with solid caps, really really nice board. Anyways once I pulled the heat sink on the Celeron, I noticed somthing. I was using the stock pre-applied heat sink paste (which I will never do again) and that it was only worn off in one area. From what I can see it must not have been making very good contact with the chip. The HSF wasn't loose or anything which is really wierd. It would only get as hot as *95C twice when I had it really stressed with ORTHOS, so I hope there is no damage done to the CPU. Anyways that whole board is probably going to go off to one of my cousins whos looking to build a PC. I have a question about the E7200 but I'll make a new thread for that. |

| When you go to remount it(if you have not done it already), mount it once making sure the pins are in and such then pull it off and check the base of the HSF again. If you have already mounted it then check your temps and if they seem high pop the HSF off again for a look at it's base. Don't just assume everything is fine.
