Ballistix DDR2-800 2x1Gb $119.99 and after MIR $79.99

Looks like a good deal and from my dealings with Crucial the MIR might be painless :)

I'm not a huge fan of Tiger though... :/

good price ... but i am not a fan of ballistix. After rma'ing 2 out of 4 1gb 6400 kits.

Maybe there was a strange coincidence but these are the ONLY sticks of ddr or ddr2 ram i have ever had go bad on me ... so 2 out of 4 is horrible imo.

They make good chips, but apparently not good pcb's to run em.

Or maybe i am spoiled buy all my good experience with mostly ocz and some corsair, team and 1 mushkin ? ... at least 20 kits worth.

/edit ... oh and one other thing with them ... at least with my 1gb kits ... they don't post in my ds3's!

Unfortunately the rebate is handled by onrebate.com though, and not by Crucial.
I've been waiting since last August for those onrebate slackers to send me a rebate. They keep telling me 10 - 14 business days

this is all starting to sound like not that great of a deal... haha.
