Don't do it. The G1 versions will not support the Trim function native to windows 7 that will solve the degrading over time issue with SSD's.

Anyways the new version is about to come out, the SKU is already in NCIX's list, apparently much faster and much cheaper. So just be patient!

yeah I think the ssd's are starting to take a dip because they have been out for some time now.

I believe Intel dropped prices on the 80GB and 160GB versions of this drive.

Even if the drives themselves will support TRIM, we are still effed. I don't think Intel has stated ever about adding TRIM support to RAID via ICH10R. I am sure it will eventually but I have my doubts it will be anytime soon.


But really what is wrong with this 'used' setup? We don't need no effing TRIM.
