yeah, of course, but for business, a few hundred buck is nothing if it boost the productivity. It's not for consumer, it's for business. Personally, I would rather softmod a Geforce than buy a Quadro.

Yes, the only difference are drivers and bios, there are lots of tutorials on how to turn GeForce into Quadro.

Ufortunately even a modded geforce is not the same as a quadro. They have extra AA and image quality functions enabled on chip. Means diddly squat for the vast majority of users though. Unless you are George Lucas, Pixar or Peter Jackson, you don't need them. Those guys can afford them.

Shader model 4.0 is basically part of DX10, I believe. So probably no benefits to be had over regular cards.

Again, QFT.

These cards are just not even remotely needed by normal (or abnormal like us) users. THese things are purely for graphic artists, CAD, etc...

They are way overpriced, but I do want one.
I do a lot of 3d work and want one for a work build.
Of course I'd like to see how they fold, but I want one mainly for work (well... not paying work yet, but I still consider it work).
I totally agree they're not worth the $$$, and I think Nvidia SUCKS for charging so much, but at this price it makes them almost worth it.

Not even. The only people to truly benefit from them over a geforce are those doing cinematic quality rendering.

What a huge ******fu****g rip-off indeed - he's right might as well get some 295's at least you can enjoy those for gaming as well - Aren't the Quadros optimized for graphic applications/CAD/OGL ? Waste of money take their advice :D
