NCIX.com - Buy Powercolor Radeon HD 4870 770MHZ 1GB 3.6GHZ GDDR5 PCI-E 2XDVI-I Video Card - AX4870 1GBD5 In Canada.

I'm not too familiar with the brand, how does it compare to say XFX?

Brandwise, I wouldn't touch it with a 10foot pole if I had the choice between the two. XFX's RMA policy is one of the best along with their warranties.

I hate MIR's! You still feel the sting of the purchase up front. That being said, I know a couple people that run powercolor cards with no complaints. I know they're not the upper end of the spectrum, but I wouldn't go as far as saying they're a bad brand. If you don't mind the MIR, it's really a decent deal.

*EDIT* Personally I think the EVGA GTX 260 is a better sale value at 179.99 right now. That's $70 off, and most of it in an instant rebate.

XFX for the rich, I'm running a 4850 powercolor with no problems but I don't like their cooler.

I bought a PC, sent in the $10 MIR (following instructions to the letter), and my rebate came back, no fuss.
