Default Fallout 3 - $25 On Steam This Weekend

Yup celebrate America's Independence with some wonderful post-nuclear action, and at half the price!

Does anyone know if the DLC add-ons work with the Steam version of the game? Steam does not offer the DLC packs, that's why I am asking.

Also if it makes a difference to you, there will be a retail GOTY edition coming this fall that includes all the DLC add-ons along with the original game and will probably be about $50-$60.

I have always debating getting this game, there is no point in me getting it for the 360 i figure since well i have a much powerful rig and its single player as well.

Would you recommend getting this game as something to play this summer (currently beat ghostbusters and well after playing it on professional difficulty i don't want to play that game for a couple weeks, pain in the ass, lol)

I would definitely recommend it, but with your choice of fanmade modpacks which make bugs and crashing from using so many different mods much less likely than just grabbing whatever. They make the vanilla game look like a beta! My playtime on FO3 alone is probably approaching my playtime on the Baldur's Gate series now. Which is a lot of time, by the way; probably enough time for me to have gotten a degree

Yup the DLCs work in the steam version. I am surprised that they don't have the DLCs for sale on steam because steam has a few other games with DLC.

Anyways this is one of my favorite games so get it now!! can't beat $25 for a very long game.

Good game, not great. Definitely worth getting at $25.

Does that mean instead of taking/going with someone to the movies you're going to take them to watch you play this game?
