It's a nice monitor and all but it's not 2560X1600!

Exactly... these idiots that pay $1000+ for a 27" that has the same resolution as a $300 24" monitor make me laugh.

Screw screen size, it's all about native rez. 2560x1600 or BUST!

I'd love one of these, just bought a 28" 1920x1200, will have to suffice for a while. I am thoroughly jealous though. I'd love to see how games look on it.

I have 3 X 24 inch dell monitors. One of them is the Ultrasharp version. Which I paid 800$ , 3 years ago. I'd really love to get rid of 1 and buy a 30 incher!. My video cards could totally handle it np.

Native Res is important but so is screen quality. Those NECs are for pro work. They have phenomenal image quality. Lets face it 90% of the screens out there have unacceptable image quality. I'm a videophile though and had Micheal TLV calibrate my CRT HDTV for $600 when I was only 20! I would take a lower res for a better pic anyday.

This.

Having said that, the Dell 3007 is of decent quality, just don't be surprised when it pales in comparison to the NEC even at a smaller size/rez for colour quality and etc.
