My System Specs

Default FOLDERS! ASUS 9600GSO 384MB! 96 SHADERS! $45 AR

NCIX.com - Buy ASUS GeForce 9600GSO EN9600GSO/HTDP/384M 550MHZ 384MB 1.75GHZ GDDDR3 2XDVI PCI-E Video Card - EN9600GSO/HTDP/384M In Canada.

96 Shaders folding goodness!

I would so get one, but it's almost as fast as my 9600GT in terms of gaming. I'll try and get a 9800GT instead then sell my 9600GT

Default 8800gt or this?

which would be better. a bfg 8800gt or this card? i presume this one would be ok for general things like web surfing, nicrosoft office and the like.

reason: looking for the biggest bang for the least bucks.

thx for any info

rob123

I think the 8800gt is faster because the 8 ending series are performance series of graphic cards and 6 series is for regular people. But for people with small monitors the regular series is good enough.

That is sorta true, i got my 9600GT for 80 bucks last august when CAD was really high. But the 9600GT is probably ~10-20 off from the 8800GT, yet it is better than the ATI 3870.
