wow even better deal than the vapor, altho this is the stock verion, but you save $40 bucks compared to an overclocked.

With all the sales and price cuts on ATI cards lately makes me wonder if something to do with economy and slumping sales or are they clearing stock for the next series?

Clearing stock probably. That's one reason for me to wait and see what happens in the next 2 months.

Well it's no secret the next series cards are on the horizon. I've heard that the release date should coincide with the release of Windows 7. They want to be the first video card company to provide full Direct X 11 functionality which is availible in Win7.

This will definately benefit us because as you've already mentioned they are clearing stock, with wicked price cuts.

These prices are just crazy-great time to buy a card or two! Even with the new cards coming out 2 of these are going ot hold up well for a while.
