Default GTX 280 for only $329 (and no rebates either)

Great deal, IMO. Obviously the GTX285 is a bit quicker, but these cards are no slouches. For $329, I'd say this is an incredible amount of bang for your buck.

Hmmm but which is better? Newer tech on the 260, but more raw power on the 280? Is the 260 eligable for the step-up program?

because they are all gone element :p

Cudos to Nvidia and their partners.

They released pricecuts week or two after ATi announced their price cuts.

We are yet to see a decline in price for ATi cards; while the nvidia cards
are dropping in price all across the board.

if it was a partner thing then XFX would have the cheapest ATI cards around. Its probably a supplier thing.

Nope. It is the greedy arse partners.

DailyTech - ATI Graphics Partners Think Radeon 4870 is Too Good

Article from 2 days ago.

Pathetic on ATi and ATi partners part; considering nvidia and nvidia's partners have supposedly been losing
money on GTX 260s EVEN BEFORE the currently implemented price cuts...
(Then again, the "supposed" information on lost revenue on GTX260s comes from the inquirer)

Bummer. I hummed and hawed to long and missed the XFX 260!!! I like XFX's double lifetime warranty over EVGA's Step-up program. It's nice to sell a used XFX to someone and just let them deal with RMA, customer support. XFX also has THE best phone support ever. I've called them down in Arizona about 4 times now and never been on hold for more than 30 seconds.

If any Angels at NCIX can hear me please let us know of any cancellations on this cuz I'll snap one up in a heatbeat!
