NCIX has them same price on weekly sale + $30 MIR

The 790i board isn't a bad deal these days, given that it should soon reach under $200, supports SLI and is a enthusiasts chipset - but it is still an nForce chipset and that speaks for itself.

These boards have always been overpriced from day 1, its hard to compare when a sub 200 intel p45 boards overclock just as well.

Ah yes, but you are missing the critical factor EE
SLI

Intel chipsets - I think - Are FAR superior over nForce. But until x58 you HAD to go nForce for SLI capabilities. Which - IMO - is also the superior dual GPU solution.

And that fact that x58 is still above the $400 mark, AND requires a MIN $400 CPU, makes 790i at sub $200 a very good investment for right now....


And it could be worse right, it could be 780i or the 6XX series :P
