HP Blackbird 002 Case up for SALE

Apparently, HP is going to sell 25 of their Blackbird cases on a first come, first serve basis starting on September 1. The cost is a huge $1,000 (+Tax and Shipping).

At a grand? I'd rather just go get a TJ07 and modify it so that it has a base like the Blackbird... would look just as good, at 1/3 the price

Can't you buy a Black Bird and then just strip it? That way you get a case and parts.

You got that right SKY, I work for HP, we build BlackBirds. Its a wicked system, there is a place to mount the rad up there, you just have to modify it.

If they give the SATA Back Plate with it, it will be wicked, its a circuit board, when installing hard drives just plug and play, the sata connections are already made on it, and the sata cable are at the back..

I would love too, for pictures it would be just impossible to, we just aren't allowed to take pics.. as for rest of parts, I could try.. I can't promise.. Being your friend SKY anytime, just what you are asking seems a bit hard

edit: oops I read it again, I see what you mean.. you want a chassis to review yourself.. I dunno how about I would do that.. You'd basically have to talk to HP themselves, its more like the warehouse we work in was Voodoo's, and since HP bought them out, only difference is things are done HP standard wise, but how they contact I dunno, the owner of Voodoo also doesn't have control.

$500 I could see (not for me but...) but $1000? Yikes, maybe with a 1200w PSU and a radiator with pump included......Nope not even then. Now if I had a million dollars...nope, I'd get a Lian Li.

Voodoo do have nice cases though.
