My System Specs

Default what do you recommend

hi, i have a antec p180 case that i want to install a window in..
what do you recommend i use to cut case side?
dremel
,jigsaw? any certain blade?

i found some window kits at .performance-pcs ,any suggestions on one that would fit good,i was looking at this one Acrylic Window Kit - Clear "L" Shape Products Model: AW-02 [AW-02] : Performance-PCs.com, ... sleeve it and they will come do you think it would be good fit,maybe hide psu if instaled correct..

any ideas welcome

I'll warn you ahead of time that the moulding for those windows kits is a major pain in the butt to work with, if it works at all!!!!!

For fine cutting, I use a jigsaw for the first rough cut, and then do the fine work with files (both large and jewelers').

maybe ill local window store then for plexi,what thickness is recommended 3mm or 5mm
and find some nice black screws..
will a file give good enough finish to go without moulding ? if have nice straight cuts to start

silver with black screws may look sweet

ya, jigsaw for the rough cut, and grind edges smooth with the dremel.

thanks guys found plexi 5mm for $14 local,i have everything to begin my build,1st WC build,hope all goes as planned

i'll try take pics as build progresses im sure i'll need advice along the way,getting worried about setting up WC already,much more to read..

If I'm not mistaken those P180/P182 side panels have 3 layers of material: inner and outer aluminum sheets and center plastic. This makes for a thick material to both cut and file. Then I don't know if those molding kits are made for such thickness.

im going to just buy a piece 18x19 and giver..hehe yes 3 layer,but they come apart with tabs

go without moulding ,see how that looks,

Don't forget to take pics, while cutting and before assembly. I've never seen a modded P180 side panel. I know 2 of my customers requested one soo....
