Default Options for air cooling cases

I'm looking at cases for a new build and would love to stick with air cooling if possible with new tech. I've had a look at a few Corsair cases (like the Air 540) and like them a lot, but am curious about any options that excel with or have better than average airflow for a completely air cooled system. Or if there's a better option for air cooling than Corsair.

I'd like to stick with an ATX board but am still undecided between that and E-ATX so I'm willing to look at both options in a case. Noise isn't an issue as I usually have headphones on so I'm fine with it being a bit noisier if that means better temperatures. Mid tower, full tower, either one if they perform well. Not looking for anything super cheap, no specific price range at this point, would prefer something that performs over something you save a few bucks on. Dust filters are definitely a plus but not a deal breaker as I can make something if need be.

If anyone has any recommendations I'd love to hear them.

I've had a look at the 500R as suggested in another thread and holy that looks slick with the white sides and black center stripe. I never gave white cases a second thought as nothing appealed to me but that one is pretty sleek. The only drawback is that it looks so similar, well to a point...to the Antec 1200 I'm used to. Something different would be great but man it still looks so sleek.

How do you find the 540 for airflow? I guess if you stash everything out of the way on one side it should move some good unrestricted cool air.

The Carbide Air 540 is amazing looking in white. If it weren't for my infatuation with another case, this would be first on my list for an ATX case. It is very flexible and airflow is top notch. It's big inside without being 24 inches tall like some cases, and very easy to work in.

I would definitely recommend it.

I just picked up a 540 in black, they did not have white at MemX. I will use this for my 2011-3 build...................

That 540 does look nice in white. I'm starting to like the white design with white LEDs over any other colour.

I've discovered the Phanteks Enthoo Primo and if that case can work for just air cooling I'm pretty sure that's the one I want. Beautiful. But again, the issue is air cooling with it, I'm not sure it's sufficient for that. The part that bugs me is that there isn't much for intake. Sure there's the front but it's mostly blocked by that front panel.

As well as the NZXT Phantom 820. The huge fans on the side and top really make that an attractive choice for an air cooling guy.

But man that Primo is a pretty case.
