Anything Fractal Design or Corsair should fit your needs at a decent price point.

Do you like windowed or not? Opening front or not? Bold styling or basic?

For me sub $100 I would go one of these:

http://products.ncix.com/detail/cors...74835-1285.htm

EDIT: Deleted Corsair 350D (its mATX).

Currently $110, but does go on sale (and would be my pick):

Those would all be $75-100 +tax.

^ This.

Out of all these, my runaway favourite is the Arc Midi R2. It is easily one of the most flexible cases around for a relatively compact ATX case by today's standards.

The Antec Three Hundred Two is also a pretty good case for lots of cooling with lots of space to work in, and it's usually well south of $100.

Can someone tell me if I'm just picky or have good taste? :)
To the OP, is it at all possible to save a bit more and have around $120?

I was looking at cheap cases and maybe I am just really picky now after dealing with an Antec 300. I haven't been impressed with any cheap cases. The two I think are pretty good are a bit over $100. I like the Corsair Obsidian 450D and the Fractal Design R4. Of course, there are some 'flaws' or issues with each case as they are still $100 cases but I like them better than the slightly cheaper ones. They actually put grommets in and they just look more professional and esthetically pleasing than the cheaper ones. I guess if you are stuck at a budget, then not much you can do but I thought the $50-$90 cases look really cheap and like the designers skimped out.

Bond007, what's the difference between the Fractal Design Arc MIDI R2 and R4?
Edit: I read about it. It sounds like there are subtle differences? Particularly, the R4 is good for silencing your system and the Midi R2 for air flow. For me, I want silence because there's too much noise with my current case but I suppose it depends on how many fans and what speed/rating they are? Either way, if there is better noise dampening, I'd go for what is a quieter case but that's just me. I wonder how either compare with Corsair cases, which I like, too.

I would advocate saving a bit more as well bit that may not be possible for him.

I just sold my Fractal R2 Midi and I have a Define R4 sitting next to me as I type. The R2 is better for airflow, and better for watercooling due to the offset position on the 120mm holes on the roof. There are better watercooling cases that have come out since, though, if you are trying to cram as much rad space as possible into the case. The Define D4 is better for silence due to the isolation foam, olid front panel with side ventilation, and side and top fan blanks (also with a thick sound isolation padding). Looks are subjective. The R2 Midi really surprised me, I found I liked it about as much as my previous Silverstone FT02 overall, which has a huge price disparity. It is apparent that they listen to customer feedback as well, as the R2 Mini addressed some of the concerns the R2 Midi had.

As far as I am concerned, if air cooling is a person's primary concern and they are going for the ATX formfactor, the R2 Midi is unbeatable in it's price range. When it goes on sale, it's a complete no-brainer.

I wouldn't even consider a Corsair case in this price range compared to those two, but I'm not overly fond of the Corsair cases I've seen in person despite the raving reviews they get online. The 330R I bought was returned immediately, it felt and looked incredibly cheap next to the R4. So did the 550D I inspected in person at a Canada Computers vs the R4 before purchasing it. Corsair's rapid case diversification has led to some quality problems, imo.

Arc Midi R2 currently on sale $90 at newegg. $20 shipping kills it, but just PM the case to memory express/NCIX and see what their shipping is.
