Default Corsair Obsidian 750D Review Comment Thead

Corsair's newest case, the Obsidian 750D, promises many things: it is large, feature rich and priced at a reasonable $160. It may be one of the best values currently available in the full tower market.

Haven't watched the video yet, but I do like what I see from the pics.

Yea I'm kinda regretting getting the Arc Midi R2 when what I wanted was the 900D but couldn't afford it. Should have waited and got this one I think.

Nice case! What puts me off though is that there are no dust filters for bottom mounted fans.

Nice review and pretty case - only drawback is the bottom missaligment for the watercooling rad, but it is only about 1% or the users that go watercooling, so it should not be a big issue... But I do agree that the front intake fans are dramatically choked. They at slower rotation speeds almost not have a slightest chance of providing any serious airflow.
But this is the price for the cool design, I think.
Yet this cool design fail when the DVDrom is installed there - that is a bit surprising, because even low-end cases had (years ago) these fll-size openings that can just open by rotating when the DVDrom is opening it's tray. I was not expecting this setback.

Nice review as always Dimitry. I like how you pointed those flaws out and no one else has done so from all the reviews I have read. And this shows the eye for details that you posses. I think Corsair rushed this one out without making sure everything was as good as it should be. There's no way they can say that they did double, triple, quadruple check with the fan mounts for bottom and front. Someone needs to be talked to and make sure they don't make the same mistake next time. I would have been fine with this case if it was same size as 800D but with more rad mounting options. All in all good case but it is lacking indeed.

It seems like Corsair is starting to maybe get a little big for their britches, and they're letting things slide. The last few cases they've released have all been far from perfect.

IMO, the 650D is perfect, and will likely be my next case unless something better comes along.

What are the dimensions of the case? I will be building a new PC in a couple of months, and the area where my tower will go is limited in terms of width and height.

Thanks!

Am I the only one who hates having the audio and usb ports in the front? Cable always get in the way of the cd rom. I would much rather have it on top or on the side.

I am with you on this one. It makes no sense at all. That kind of stuff should be placed up to and I don't care much for audio ports being up front as I have always plugged my headset into the back ports.
