The problem with side mounts for "front panel" controls / ports is that it forces users to leave that one side open no matter what would work better for their desk setup.

I find the side ones a bit of a pain as well but still better than front.

For ports I prefer how CM did it on my Storm 2. Recess them into the top handle with a pull down cover so they cannot be seen. They don't get in the way of anything.

This case could have definitely used a once over by Corsair before leaving the door.

20 - 30 deg angle recessed into the top with a cover of some sort.. Front panels need revised sooo bad.

A little bit OT, but I wonder if front panel connector break out boxes for high(er) end cases would fly? I know it'd be something I'd be willing to try out.

Great review as always Dmitry. Bummer your front panel arrived broken but I'm sure that could be fixed with a little tlc. The front intake fans being impeded with a solid front panel has me puzzled tbh.

There is a vent around the whole edge... as long as the venting is big enough it shouldn't hinder tooooo much but obviously will impact somewhat.
Wonder if it's just aesthetics or silence they were going for with it..
