Has anyone build an "all in one" style computer?

I have some very old Gateway Profile "All in one" style computers at the office because they have a very small foot print. Unfortunately they are impractical to upgrade past adding some RAM.

Has anyone built or does anyone know of a way to build a upto date computer using the VESA mounting holes on the back of a monitor to attach a chassis and maybe use an ITX board? What parts did you use? Was cooling an issue? How'd you get it all to play nice in such a small package.

I have built several computers with the Silverstone SUGO SG06B case but I want something even smaller.

Thanks for the input, hope someone has some experience in this department.

Is there some 24 pin connector for the motherboard and then some kind of adapter that plugs into a "brick" style power supply like what comes with a laptop?

PSU for the M350 is actually two portions

1. AC Adapter - Looks very much like a notebook power adapter.
2. PicoPSU - It has most of power connectors for PC (4+4pin, 24pin, molex and sata, etc.) and it connects to AC adapter which sits outside of the chassis.

You will need to make sure that both AC adapter and the PicoPSU have matching power or higher on the AC adapter AND enough juice to run everything you intend to run.

I'm sure there is a better way to explain this but this is best I can explain

I have half disassembled the Gateway Profiles but they use a lot of odd parts and the only thing that is practical is a RAM upgrade which I did. Went form 1/2 a GB to 2 GB but the things run XP and are slower than Christmas. I think my money would be better spent getting new components and an SSD

I've been looking at that miniBox 350 and it looks pretty neat. For $102 they have a bundle which includes the power supply and parts. I have an email question into them but I think I might order one and see what I can make it do. If I do, I will report back on it.
