Powder Coat a HAF 932 or get a new case? I have system in a original gen HAF 932 and I plan on replacing the H100 and the stock coolers on my GTX 680's with a full custom loop this year. Going for a blue and black color scheme and I want the insides to match. So has anyone powder coated a 932 before? How difficult would that be ? And would that be worth it over just buying a new case (like an 800D) that's already painted black? |
If you're going to DIY and paint it black, then IMO it's rather pointless. Unless you are super attached to your 932, I'd just get a new case. It's only really worth the money/labor if you're going to do a custom color. Of course, you could strip it and send it off to an auto shop and have them do it, which is practical. If you do end up buying a new case, not sure I'd (personally) go with an 800D though, unless it caters to all of your needs. The 900D is coming out pretty soon and is ballin' Corsair 900D "Godzilla" Full Tower Chassis Leaked |

Not worth it. Powder coating is not cheap |
If you really want to keep the case then just get matte black spray paint and try that, if your not happy with the results then go for a new case. Powder coating to black will probably cost more than a new case with the features you want and already got the inside painted black. |
Ya I've decided to go for the new case route. The 900D looks like kick butt case and not a half bad value for the stuff your getting. |
