Default Corsair Launches Carbide 200R, a $59 Case With Serious Appeal

Priced aggressively at just $59 the Carbide Series 200R offers PC builders a supremely flexible chassis with unmatched value and ease-of-use.

Corsairís cases may be some of the most respected currently available and offer a wide variety of options; they were lacking a true budget-friendly solution. Now, with the Carbide 200R, it looks like theyíve finally gone that route with a chassis that doesnít look anything like low-rent cases from other manufacturers.

It's about time they made a more budget friendly case. I'd like to see a mATX or itx case.

I wonder if this is a sign the 900d is coming out soon.

Wow!!!

I'm not sure if there'd be enough room for a top mount rad internally, but it'd be really easy to mod an external mount one. Nice clean looking case.

don't you worry Steve... Here you go.. Corsair 200R Value Gaming Carbide Series Computer Case Unboxing & First Look Linus Tech Tips - YouTube

they've purposely pushed the 120mm fan mounts out a little to accommodate for rads. Case looks very good, however no grommets. Also only air vents on the side, no air from the front.. But for a case that's so cheap, it's pretty darn good...

There are vents and a Fan port on the front with fan :)

Great Value Case!

Perfect timing. My CM Centurion just don't have enough fans for a semi-modern gaming machine.

EDIT: The tension clips seem like the weak point of the case. Plastic tend to break down over time and if you apply way too much force, looks like they may break off. At least I see screw mount holes as back up.

Really? .. there's only one front mounting fan, and the vents seem on the side. The front part (where a fan is usually installed) doesn't seem removable that has mesh or anything like that. But before I assume, I'll wait for a proper review

Vents at the side will still work, that is where the front fan will draw its air from. Antec has done that for years.
Same with some CM cases. It works.

It just means that the fan has to be secured with long screws from the rear rather than standard short case fan screws.

Almost perfect cheap case - swap 2 5.25" bays for more HDDs and it would have been purrrfect for the price.
