Fractal Design Case is Bulletproof
 

Well I got the NCIX newsletter tonight and I thought there was nothing interesting in it, but then I came across this little gem...

The guy fires 10 shotgun shells into a Define XL and barely gets through.

I want that guys job.

The define XL is a really slick case but those were real shotty shells with a spray to them, not a slug or pistol or some sort of rifle.... Still impressive but kinda unsurprised they didn't go through

Like he (loosely) said though, it's a friggin gun shooting at a computer case. He wasn't trying to say it's gonna save your life if somebody shoots a slug/bullet at you while you're holding the case. The other panel had a huge hole after one shot though.

Just a neat demonstration to me, guns and computers go hand in hand with all the FPS we play. :bleh:

I believe it. I had one of those cases and they are extremely sturdy. I wanted to mod and put a window in it but I didn't even bother to try cutting it with a dremel it's so much heavier then a normal case.

New fad in computer reviews? Shooting whatever you review with a 12 gauge after the review is done!!

I would LOVE to see HWC adopt this convention :rofl:

It's a really nice case, only if they would have made it a little more water cooling friendly.. like 3 or 2x120mm fans uptop.. But oh well, you can't always get what you wish for..
But the shotgun, damn case is strong!

Note to self: Use at least a buckshot when going postal on computers.

Someone should send one of these Fractal cases to FPSRussia:haha:

That case must be pretty heavy then..

Can't wait til they release Fractal R4 with Kevlar sound dampening:biggrin:
