USB 2.0 front ports compatible with a USB 3.0 motherboard?
 

I plan on buying a cooler master Storm Scout for my case and an Asus M5A97 motherboard. I was wondering if they were compatible since the Storm Scout has front USB 2.0 ports. I'm sorry if this question sounds dumb. I'm new at this.

Yes it'll be fine. The 3 blue sockets at the bottom edge of the board are the USB2 headers.
