I am here to wake this thread up.. What a great build work by wilson. I have one question for you sir, did you add that swiftech mcr320 without any mods, meaning was it compatible right outside the box, or you had to do little modding.

I'm currently looking for a case that would fit a triple rad with no modification at all, and I'm eyeing on this Cosmos S.

Thanks. :)

Great thanks, 2 guys with excellent setups, I can't go wrong. I can afford $200, I'm hoping to make that $60 from somewhere.

Hmmm, since I have that case and seeing how easily that rad fits, perhaps my credit card will have to come out later.......

SSWilson - awesome setup. I actually just got my Cosmos S yesterday and I have the exact same WC setup (the swiftech kit). I plan on mounting the pump / res in the same area as you and plan on mounting the 3x120 rad inside the case. One question though - how did you mount the res ? I can't tell if it's screwed to the wall or what. I have 2 optical drives (bd rom and a dvd burner). I guess I'd mount one at the bottom and then one right above the hdd cage?

With the way I set things up you'd have to mount the burners in the bottom two spots with the HDD cage directly above them.

As to the mounting, I just used the L Bracket that ships with the micro-res....

To make things easier for attaching to the side of the case I used a locknut to both hold the screw in place on the L Bracket, as well as providing a bit of a stand-off....

The L-Bracket was then secured to the side wall with another locknut.....

I don't remember for sure, but I believe I had to drill the hole for that. I don't believe there was a pre-existing one.

Hopefully that answers your questions, don't hesitate to ask away if you have any more. (Don't forget to give us some pics as well.... :) ).

Yeah, even when speccing my Cosmos S for my new front plate I had to prep my own holes where the brackets attach (in the 5.25 drive bays) With the quick release the case has there just isn't any holes that'd really line up to anything. Although the aluminum is really thin there; you can easily cut through it.

It's not looking good for the PA 120.1. I did another quick fit test (without taking out the rear fan) and it looks like the best I'd be able to get would be install the rad internally directly to the rear of the case and then try to install a 120 fan on the outside of the case fan exhaust. Even that looks like it would be a tight fit between the rad and the "Crazy Cool" heatsink of the DQ6.

The only way around it would be to get fancy and WC the whole board and I'm not sure I want to mess with something that seems to be working fairly well as is.

I've got some WC going on with my test bed so I'm sure I'll be able to find something to do with the thermochill..... :)
oops wrong post..
