Default How to order something small from CM

Hi all,

I want to buy this thing from CM.

Plastic 3.5 to 2.5 SSD Bracket - OEM Packaging - Cooler Master Store

It's 2.99$ but the lowest shipping method is UPS for 19$... Anyone knows where I can get this a side from the CM store?

* Is this the right section?

CM support told me that...

shipping charge is set by UPS or Fed Ex

Hehe good one!

For the sake of everyone who doubt about CM's customer support. Here is a little something. Yes I was a bitch ...

Note: I masked both my name and his name. Nothing personal against the guy, just against CM.

Topic: Hi, I want to order an SSD bracket for the HAFX. The piece is 2.99$ and fits in a pocket but the lowest

shipping cost is UPS for 19$. Can't you do something?

Hi

the item is this: Plastic 3.5 to 2.5 SSD Bracket - OEM Packaging - Cooler Master Store

CM Support 15:14:29
shipping charge is set by UPS or Fed Ex

we do not have control on rate

Me 15:14:52
Ok, so where can I buy this in canada?

I won't pay 19$ to ship a 3$ item

CM Support 15:16:53
this is not sold separately at any vendors
Me 15:17:56
Ok so nothing can be done? I mean, I bough an HAFX which was the flagship not long ago and you can't even provides

parts for less than 20$. This is sad
CM Support 15:18:45
part is $2.99

shipping is set by the shipping company, not by Cooler Master

its what we are charged by the shipping company
Me 15:20:45
Well then I suggest you change shipping method. You just lost a sale and many other (I was about the change some

fans)

Take it as a suggestion, but this is called "customer support". Normally good companies won't accept that a third

party charges 20$ when we buy 3$ from them

CM Support 15:22:17
that is what UPS charges us to ship the product

we make no money on the shipping

Me 15:22:46
Do you know what "third party" means?

I know all that

CM Support 15:23:09
so how should we ship then
Me 15:23:18
and I don't care you don,t make the 20$ on the shpiing, you won't make the 3$ either on the bracket nor 40$ on the

fans I was about to order...

XPress post

CM Support 15:23:29
we can charge $22 for the part and then give you free shipping
Me 15:23:30
in Canada, use Xpress Post

are you mocking me?

CM Support 15:24:01
you still have to pay for canadian customs fee
Me 15:24:39
yeah I know, but not 20$, it's a little bracket that fits in a padded envelope

I'm not sure you realize how frustrating and pointless it is to try to buy anything for less than 20$

CM Support 15:27:05
please contact UPS to ask them why they charge so much for their shipping

that is their minimum 1 lb charge for a package

we do not ship as much as places like newegg and therefore get charged a higher rate
Me 15:28:17
Wow, I really looove you customer support. "Don't know don't care". Well thanks to you and your policies, be asure

I won't ever buy from Coolermaster.

Thanks for nothing

This is why I'm happy to have american friends, Just like with monoprice where you spend $50 to ship $20 worth of cables. I just ship to my friend for $7 then they ship to me for $10.

If you like, find out what shipping to the states is and I can work it out with you to avoid the $20 customs scam.

Go to your local store. Ask them to get the part for you on their next order. They might mark it up 100%, but you'll still only be paying $6.

Or, since you mentioned you'd be buying some fans anyways, order it all at the same time, and get charged only the one shipping charge.

I don't see this as being CoolerMaster's problem...

Great suggestions.

But I DO see this as CM's problem.

Let's say you have a store. And you sell 1$ things. Some dudes you don't know goes by your door and asks 20$ to let the customer enter you store. Is this your problem or their problem?

If they had any customer support at all, they would toss you the part for a few$ for th envelope, that is sad, if this happened to me I for sure wouldn't give that company another penny.

I don't do mail in rebates either. Give me the damn money off or don't, Don't make me go through a bunch of crap to save $10. That is the point of a MIR anyways, the company knows most people wont bother with it so they get the sale and the laughs.
