This is why I feel for customer support of company's.

Your completely out of line and this makes customers look really bad.

I disagree, There is ZERO reason CM can't toss that tiny thing in an envelope and mail it to him. I don't give a rats ass if they use UPS. Send it another way instead of ripping off your customers.

If my friend can send it to me for under $20, there is absolutely zero excuse why they can't.

I don't know what amazon rates are, but they stock everything.
Here's a metal bracket for 2 dollars more.

how is it ripping anybody if they are just charging you what UPS charges them?

you might not like CM, but taking it out on the customer support guy was out of line

My answer is already written and was :

Let's say you have a store. And you sell 1$ things. Some dudes you don't know goes by your door and asks 20$ to let the customer enter you store. Is this your problem or their problem?
I don't care if UPS, XPress Post, USPS, CoolerMaster, my neighbor or his dog gets the cash. For the time being, I am a potential customer who wants to pay a 3$ thing but gets charged 22$ for it. I am pissed off because I can't have a stupid little plastic bracket for a 150$~200$ case (back then) for less than 10% of the whole case price.

If you bought something small off me, lets say a DVD. and I said "Okay that'll be $5 and $50 for the oversized overnight courier box. That is physically the only way possible for this DVD to ship and that is what they charge me to ship it sorry"

what would go through your mind?

I know personally I'd laugh and think the seller was a complete idiot if they think that is the only possible way for an item to transport.

Problem possibly solved. It's a great end, I don't have to wait, nor have to give money to Coolermaster, nor have to buy anything.

Look at that! How simple! And since they are SSD, no heat problem getting two of those spooning . I'll try it as soon as NCIX ships my 520 (Back ordered one day, transferring stock now, shipping after)

you guys will find anything to complain about.. if they ship it in an envelope and it breaks, you would complain.. they pack it in a box and ship it at cost (no profit) and you guys complain it's too expensive.. (even though it's a flow through cost).. if they ship it with regular post, then you complain you can't track it or it gets lost..

the way you gave the customer support guy a hard time wasn't cool.. you could have just left it and bought it elsewhere
